RAIL BARONGAME OF BUILDING RAILROAD EMPIRES LEISURE TIME BOOKSHELF GAME*1977***Low Starting Bid***No Reserve*** Up for auction is a vintage 1977 Leisure Time Games - Bookshelf Game by The Avalon Hill Game Company. Build your own coast-to-coast rail empire - if you can! This is an easy game with subtle strategies - a perfect game for both the beginner and the subtle strategist. The players move from city to city along the 28 major rail lines in the U.S., collecting money and buying up the rail lines as they go. But beware! There are heavy fines for using an opponent's rail lines - so each player must try to build a complete rail empire that he can use, at the same time that he is trying to buy other rail lines that his opponents need! With every buy, a player tries to get himself out of trouble and everyone else into trouble...a fun family game (excellent for non-wargamers and wargamers alike) for 3 - 6 players, ages 10 and up. Playing time 3 - 5 hours. Comes complete with full color 16" x 33" mapboard, 40 realistic deed and engine cards, play money, three dice, 18 plastic tokens and instructions. This game is complete, unplayed with, the title cards are still in a sheet, they have not been torn apart. There are four card holders(?) but I don't think they go with this game. Game is in excellent condition, except for the blue pawn
