Railroad Man riding Velocipede , real photo postcard by unidentified photographer, ca. 1910. This delightful, sharp, detailed real photo postcard shows a man riding a four-wheeled Velicipede along railroad tracks somew in the U.S. According to the brief note written in ink on reverse, this is Pop on his cycle going to work as Station Master . The Velocipede itself appears to be powered with pedals and a chain to the rear axle, like a bicycle. It looks like it would have been light enough for the operator to remove it from the tracks easily when he got to the station, or when a train was coming. No location indicated, but certainly somew in the United States. Postally unused, divided back, 3 1/2" x 5 1/2".
Condition Good condition with light corner wear. A couple light surface impressions.
