âe(tm)s an absolutely adorable miniature cast iron sadiron with removable quick-release handle and its original, very ornate, miniature trivet. I donâe(tm)t know whether this was intended to be a salesmanâe(tm)s sample or a childâe(tm)s toy or if it is simply the smallest practical usable iron of this style...cufs & collars? It measures about 4-3/4 inches in length and a mere 2 1⁄4 âe wide. Normal irons of this style and genre measure about 6 1⁄2 âe long, and over 3âe in width, and weigh about 4 pounds without the handle. This baby weighs in at a mere 1 lb. 11 oz. ! As you can see in the pics, it has survived in very good condition with expected wear and aging from a likely 100 years of use. T is, of course, some light rust or oxidation to the original plating, some of which I believe will clean, but Iâe(tm)ll leave that to the taste of the new owner. The wooden handle and release knob are both present and intact, although t is a hairline crack on one side of the handle, as shown in the pics. Surprisingly the iron has survived all these decades with its original trivet, that fits the base exactly having four raised nubs to cradle the iron.
