This auction is for a Rare American Pewter Water Pitcher, Hartford, CT., Thomas Danforth Boardman, c. 1805 -1850. This pitcher has a wonderful classical form with a slightly flared base. It has a flanged spout with a nicely shaped scrolled handle. The patina is a great natural dark color and the condition is very fine for such an early and rare pitcher. Best of all this is a pitcher with the impressed lion mark with "BOARDMAN" beneath it and an "X" above it. This was the mark utilized by Thomas Danforth Boardman, who worked out of Hartford, CT. from 1805 to 1850.
I offer this rare Boardman marked pewter water pitcher with no reserve to be sold to the highest bidder. Good luck!
DIMENSIONS: The water pitcher is 7 1/2 " H. x 5 1/4" W. x 8 1/2" L. from the back of the handle to the top of the spout.
