Rare Bullion patched Ike "Shirt" Theatre made Patches

If you're a US WWII militaria collector, you've no doubt seen many Ike JACKETS, but how many Ike SHIRTS have you seen!!!??? Well, 's one. Beautiful khaki shirt which has been period tailored into an Ike jacket form. The jacket is unlined and features an Australian made Aerial Gunner wing, embroidered on black wool backing. Additionally, bullion patches on both shoulders - a Far East Air Forces and 5th Army Air Force. The FEAF patch is very three dimensional and just beautiful. The fantastic 5th AAF patch is a great variation - likely Australian made. Unlike so many of the 5th AAF patches you see for sale, particularly on ebay, this one is unquestionably WWII period, not one of the Korean war period bullion 5ths that are prevalent on ebay. The Corporal's chevrons are embroidered on black twill. No interior markings other than the size stamping of 15-34. The jacket is made with a hidden front closure. All four plastic buttons for the closure are attached with original stitching. Epaulette and front pocket buttons are all present with original stitching.
