1870's Gustav Becker floor clock with an outstanding case made with several different woods is up for auction!

Outstanding craftsmanship in this 1870's grandfather clock made by Gustav Becker. This hand made case is made up of several different types of wood, It is truly a work of art, how the different woods add to the beauty of this clock. Stamped on the back is: The Gustav Becker round logo, with another circle with MÉDAILLE D O R D.P.R. No544 Measures 91" tall x 24" wide Clock house is 10" deep by 16 1/2 wide Top of the base is 22 1/2, the base is 17 1/2 x 10" deep This is an open swinger case style with a beautiful borrowed walnut panel. This case is made with several different types of wood...What a masterpiece. Not to mention the clock movement has just been cleaned and has been running great.... T is a period leaded and beveled glass insert, in the base. It has been painted over with a see thru stain. The movement platform has been changed. The side inserts are missing also...note photos The Key Lock for the Clock housing has been changed to a Magnetic lock system. Also a bolt is missing to hold the clock movement in place but we do have the wing nut that goes with the missing bolt, see photo. The back panel has been added to and something has been removed.....
