For sale is a fine antique, I think saddle blanket, but the measurements are actually too small for a double saddle blanket although I read that some small ones were used on top of the saddle as a decorative cover. Maybe its a rug. I don't know. It is a very fine and very tight twill weave with great geometric lines. My pictures do not capture the colors very well. The colors are mustard, grey and white. Under magnification , I see single strands of black throughout. It measures 44 inches long( not including tassels) by 22 and 1/8 at widest point. It is quite heavy for its size. It smells mildly horsey, musty. It has the remnants of an old pawn tag. It is in over all very good condition. T are about five minor holes. T is a good deal of wear. I can't specify an age for you other than to tell you it is quite old. Late 19th, early 20th c. I am no expert on Native American textiles. I do think this one is very good though. Please see my other listings for more antigques and read our terms below. Thank you.
