Hello, up for auction today is a RARE ROSEVILLE TOPEO GREEN BLUE #656 6 1/4" VASE C.1934! I found this vase recently at a Alabama flea market. This is a WONDERFUL vase! It was made by Roseville Pottery around 1934, as that is when they started the "Topeo" pattern. The glaze starts at the bottom as a blue, then transfers to a turquoise, then to a sea-foam green color. It's absolutly georgous! It is a matte glaze. It is in EXCELLENT shape with no chips or cracks! T is a small glaze skip on the top rim which happened during the manufacturing of this vase. The glaze skip measures about 1/4 of an inch(see picture #4). The vase measures about 6 1/4 inches tall, and about 3 3/4 inches across at its widest point. A "5" and a "X" are marked on the bottom in blue. Also on the bottom is the number 85 in in black, and 656 is wrote into the pottery itself. The bottom is glazed over. These originally came with paper labels, that have came off over the years. This is a very hard to find pattern! Please ask questions and look at pictures before bidding. Thanks for looking.
