Rare SOUTH DAKOTA TERRITORY 1887 Newspaper LOYALTON SD is a complete, genuine historic newspaper with the following title, date and description: VERMONT CITY JOURNAL , Vermont City, Edmunds County, Dakota, April 29, 1887 * Loyalton, South Dakota territorial newspaper Records show that this tiny town has since changed its name to Loyalton, and the only population figure I could find shows a total of 6 residents. This issue was published two years before South Dakota even became a state, making this a territorial newspaper. Gregory does not even have a listing of any newspapers for either Loyalton or Vermont City. Complete in 8 pages, never bound nor trimmed, some clean tears at the central fold do not cause any loss of readability, otherwise generally nice condition. A genuine rare newspaper.
