Being offered is a are pair of circa 1865 sterling silver fruit or ice cream spoons by John Wendt ofNew York, in the medallion motif, the spoons with 'winged' sections at top of bowl, the medallion, a strong profile of a helmeted warrior. Weight 10 oz. Length of each spoon 6 1/8 inches. At top of terminus reverse, both spoons are elaborately monogrammed. Marked as illustrated in photo. In excellent condition.
