READYMADES IMPOSTORS '78 SF PUNK/NEW WAVE 11x17 poster/flyer Gibson Flying V KBD

Outstanding artwork / design by "CRAIG" on this 1978 new wave / punk poster from Petaluma (Northern California).

Graphics depict a rock 'n' roll Santa Claus with Converse High-Tops playing a Gibson Flying V guitar. One of the best poster designs I've seen from the era.

"Sketalumee Productions Presents 2nd Annual Rock and Roll Christmas at Petaluma's Showcase Theatre, Fri. Dec. 22 (1978)."

Headlining band was the North Bay's own IMPOSTORS, perhaps the first new wave/punk band from the region. Support act THE READYMADES was a headlining act on their own turf of San Francisco. Third bill was 6L6, named after the power tubes in Fender, Marshall, etc. amplifiers.

Poster is printed on medium to heavy weight paper, measures11" x 17", and is original.

Keywords: flier; concert art; power pop; West Coast; Jonathan Postal; Brittley Black; Crime.

CONDITION is VG+++. There is some light toning, one small edge crease, and one tiny discoloration dot at the bottom edge.

Poster will be packaged with polyethylene bag and acid-free backing board, packed carefully with virgin corrugated cardboard, and mailed flat in a bubble mailer.
