Description: Now up for auction is this lovely Victorian Compote. It is has a silverplate base by Reed and Barton. Numbered as shown, 3305 33817, along with company logo. It has a removable glass bowl with knop. Frosted and clear glass, with scalloped edge. Attributed to Pairpoint. Fabulous epergne design by Reed and Barton, circa late 19th C silverplate and glass. Measurements: approx. 9 1/2" tall. bowl is approx 8 3/4" in diameter. Condition: Very Good Condition. Silverplate rim is missing a few tiny beads detailing the rim (see close-up), otherwise excellent condition. No dents or worn plating. The bowl has a hairline in the body. It does not extend to the rim, and appears it happened in annealing. (see close-up) The knop has some minor flakes. The rim is excellent, no chips, cracks or repairs. Typical Victorian tarnish, but the plating is very much intact, and this piece would polish beautifully. No dents, dings or rust. No Reserve!!
