A professionally restored 1940's Parker Vacumatic. If you look at the fifth picture you'll notice that the normally blue diamond is not there. Hopefully from the last picture you can see that the dating, it is a a 6 with 2 dots. According to what Richard Binder, a renowned pen restorer and historian has written about the dating system of Parker this number is the last digit of the year that the pen was made. The vacumatic was made from 1932-1948. Due to the plastic filling system and cap design, this pen must've been made during the second quarter of 1946, which is around when Parker had to stop putting the blue diamond enameling. Now back to the pen itself, it works very nicely. Due to the relative young age of the pen you can see that the green stripes have aged very well and transparency is good. There is enough iridium to last for a long while. While not a nail and has some bounce it most certainly is not a flex nib.
