Tunison Lim. Ed. Civil War Sculpture: Gen RobertE. Lee This is a very rare Ron Tunison Civil War cold-cast bronze sculpture from 1998 entitled 'General Robert E. Lee'. The piece depicts the beloved general looking over the land on the first day of the Battle of Gettysburg, July 1, 1863. Recognized internationally for his outstanding artistry in sculpting, Ron Tunison produces museum quality castings that are made in the USA in molds made from his original clay sculptures. Each piece is hand numbered in a limited edition by Mr. Tunison who oversees every aspect of production. True life-like realism and extraordinary attention to detail are the trademark of Tunison sculpture. As one looks more closely at each sculpture a greater portrayal of that detail is evident, from the veins in the soldiers' hands to the inscriptions on their belt buckles. Years of research and study guarantee historical accuracy and authenticity in every aspect of Tunison's sculptures, including military accoutrements, uniforms, period, setting and event. A genuine likeness in the portrayal of the individual personalities makes each face instantly recognizable.
