Doulton´s Title for this flask seems to me rather inapropiate. Since the eighteeth century and Ralhp Wood the English have produced a traditional toby with a figure astride a barrel sometimes called the Landlord Flask. Lambeth produced this type in the nineteeth century (Harry Simenon) and this is a Burslem Kingsware version."
