From an estate sale we have up for bid a RUSSEL WRIGHT TEAPOT by Edwin Knowles Co. in the GRASS PATTERN. What a beautiful example and piece of Russel Wright at his best! This is from a line called Esquire and was introduced about sometime between 1955 - 1962. We were told this is a rare hard to find piece, especially in this condition. This was produced by The Edwin Knowles Company in Newell WV. Sometimes the pottery is said to be in East Liverpool OH, but it was actually across the river in Newell, WV. This piece measures about 13 1/2" from tip of spout to tip of handle. It stands about 4 1/2" high. It is marked as shown and the pattern name is identified. I also listed a teapot in antique white. The lid on this piece is white, I thought it would have been aqua, but the lady said that is how it came. Either way, it looks great. This is a beauty!! T are no chips or cracks. I saw no signs of wear and a nice shine to the almost matte type finish. I didn't see any manufacturing flaws, but if you search maybe you will find a few. A BEAUTIFUL example of modernistic designed pottery by Russel Wright. We pack carefully, but will require insurance and delivery confirmation on this item. If you win and aren't 10
