Up for bid is a pair of Satsuma style stick neck garlic mouth vases circa 1900 - 1920's. Each vase has two figural panels depicting samurai audience and family scenes. The panels are very well executed. Overall condition is very good with very minor wear to the surface. No hairline cracks. T is some minor chipping on the bottom from the firing process. T is no kiln mark. T is a mark on the bottom of each of the vases that appears to be an artist mark. The pair have been looked at by a local auction house appraiser who specializes in Asian ceramics who provided the information for this description. Her professional opinion is that the pair are very well done and in very good condition. They measure 9 1/2" tall by 4 1/2" across on the bottom and 1" across the mouth. S/H contact seller.
