O scale Hines Lines 2-8-2 brass locomotive

Own a part of model railroading history buying this historic 1946 vintage Hines Lines brass 2-8-2 locomotive, one of the major locos on Frank Ellison's huge Delta Lines Railroad (see original logo on the tender photo). As you may know Frank was a senior writer and editor of Model Railroader magazine from the '40's to the 60's, mainly showing how to lay track, repair engines, create scenery, etc., using his railroad as the modeling format. Included will be a copy of the November 1955 MR magazine which has a big article on the DELTA LINES, with a photo of this engine on the turntable.

This engine is in fine shape and with it's history it hasn't been retouched. It runs fine; both + and - are picked up on the tender trucks for reliability. Previous owner removed outside third rail pickups on engine and changed tender trucks. This loco has the original Hines Lines wheel sets with insulated wheels on the left side. Very good shape for an engine which has been used and maintained for several years.
