Warne & Co., New York & London) ~~~ BEATRIX POTTER: " THE TALE OF PETER RABBIT " Plays the song "YOUNGER THAN SPRINGTIME" *** Peter is halfway in/halfway out of a square box with an inside mirrored open lid. (Underside of lid is mirrored). He appears as if he's clapping, with his hands held together. He's adorable in his light blue trenchcoat. The box has 3-D type (raised) Beatrix Pottery storybook scenes. The "raised" 3-D scenes are on all 4 sides and also the top lid. (I've captured all the scenes in my photos). This is such a unique piece. Not many available and quite hard to find. The colors are sharp and vibrant! The 5 storybook raised scenes are fantastic! Great condition, plays beautifully! ****NOTE: Peter's left ear, outer edge, has a chip on the white part of his ear. (See the last pixture) Othe than that, it's in beautiful condition!!!! It has an off/off stop slide switch on the side. This music box was handed down to me via personal estate inheritance years ago. It's been beautifully cared for in a display case & little human handling. This music box is a "still" version (Stationary). It does not move or rotate. Music plays great and functions perfectly .
