I've owned this cdv for many years, but am choosing now to part with it. The condition is poor, but it is certainly rare, and it has the added value of being a gift from Oroville's primary photographer, E. A. Kusel, to the Sanitary Fair, probably sold to raise money for the agency that aided the Union war effort. "The United States Sanitary Commission was an official agency of the United States government, created by legislation signed by President of the United States Abraham Lincoln on June 18, 1861, to coordinate the volunteer efforts of women who wanted to contribute to the war effort of the Union states during the American Civil War ."
