Scott 340B 7591 Tube Receiver Works!

This is a re-list due to a non-paying bidder! Here we have a Scott 340B stereo tube receiver. It uses 7591 output tubes and there are three Fisher branded ones and one Scott. The 12AX7 compliment are a couple of RCA's and some Russian/Chinese ones. This receiver was tested by me and found to be in working condition with good sound out of both channels. There are, however, some things you need to know about this reciever. First, the on/off swtch was balky when I first brought it up to power. It seems to be working now but you may want to consider replacing it at some point in the future. Unlike Fisher receivers, Scott used a simple slide switch for power on or off so it is not a big deal to change it. Secondly, this receiver suffered a bump on its backside, probably in shipping but I do not know for sure. The FM reception is good with nice channel separation and great tone. The stereo station indicator light lit on the nearby strongest signal station and the meter deflected as it should but I couldn't see the light light up on other stations that I know broadcast in stereo so I don't know what to make of that. It looks like the right dial lamp is out but the left one worked. The dial glass is good. All the small control knobs are missing their brights but those are available on ebay. Please note the bend in the rear of the chassis.

Since I am getting older I have decided to thin out my collection so watch my future auctions.
