ORIGINAL 1960S RETRO SEIKO AUTOMATIC CHRONOGRAPH

This is an awesome gents chrono from Seiko and in fabulous used condition . Model 6138-8020 Seiko automatic Chronograph often know as the Panda due to the white dial and black sub dial looking like a Panda's eyes . First put in production in the 1970's and still widely sought after and collected . These are fast becoming scarce watches and in this nice condition are seldom seen . Its crown is used to quick set the day and date ( which is in English and Roman numerals ) by pulling out to first It has a wonderful dial in white . Set with two sub dials showing elapsed mins at 6 o clock and the one at 12 showing elapsed hours . It sports chromium hour batons and hands . The dial is mint and completely flawless as is the crystal . The case is in stainless steel and may have been refinished . Comes on an original Seiko bracelet ( though not for this model ) with signed buckle fitting an 8 1/2 inch wrist . The movement has recently been serviced and is running smoothly and holding time well , with the chronograph function snapping back to zero just as it should . My first passion was for Seiko watches and find the quality of them is as good as any Swiss time piece and there longevity is second to none .
