I am offering a primitive Native American stone ax-head for auction. I purchased it from a collection in the region of the Upper Hudson River in northeastern New York State. It is 7 1/2 long and 3 inches wide at it's widest point, approximately. It weighs just under 3 1/2 pounds and I cannot say much else about it because I do not know. The groove is 1 1/2 inches and goes around the ax-head. The sides of the ax head are flattened in the area just down from the groove on both sides. It's easily seen and felt, but not clear on the images no matter how I photographed it. This is a fascinating piece and I know you will find it fascinating as well. Please email me with questions or for additional digital images, I'll be happy to oblige. Thanks. If you win this auction, please do NOT press an invoice button; instead wait for my personal email to your stated email address. I'll ship by US Postal Mail -- for Insurance and delivery confirmation will be required -- the price depends upon the winning bid. Thanks for looking -- the Buyer is responsible for postage and shipping.
