First off I dont know a lot about silverware. I purchased this set at an estate sale fro a lady in late 60s who stated that the silverware belonged to her grandmother. I believe the pattern is Charter Oak first produced in 1906(Determined by looking at other ebay items for sale. The silverware comes in a case(unk if it is org but case certainly is old) which measures 10.5 inches long 9 inches wide and 4.5 inches high. It has a bottom drawer and has nicks and loss of varnish due to age. The bottom drawer pull has been replaced in another hole as it pulled out of orginal. It is unk if these silverware items were the one that came in the box or if additional items have been added or subtracted. The inside of the box has no tears but it is dirty. The banner reads Rogers Bros 1847 Meriden B Company. All piece of the silver are marked(with exception of the 6 knives) 1847 Rogers XS Triple. The six knives are marked 1847 Rogers Bros Warranted 16 DWI. Total 26 pieces. All pieces have some surfaces scratches from normal use and polishing. Additionl desc listed after each fo the follwing descriptions. Set contains 6 teaspoons 6 inches long and bowl 1.25 wide normal wear, no loss of plating and no box wear on back. 6 large spoons 8.25 in long 1.75in across bowl. Normal wear and each spoons SHOWS wear from laying in the box. 6 Dinner forks 7.
