A case, dial and hands for a Seth Thomas "Helmsman" ship's bell clock from the 1960's - 1980's. It includes the gong (mounted inside the back of the case). The back is labeled: CAT. 1008NAME: HELMSMANMODEL: E537-001SETH THOMASDIV. OF GENERAL TIME CORP.A TALLEY INDUSTRIES CO.Thomaston, Conn. U.S.A. The dial is NOT in very good condition - it is quite scratched. The case body looks pretty good as-is, the bezel has a large tarnish spot and really needs polishing and lacquering. The hands are good with slight scratching. Good glass. All 8 spokes and the ring mounting posts are good. One of the flange mounting screws is missing. The movement mounting plate is missing two of the posts.
