Sheva Ausubel Oil Painting, Italy, 1930, WPA Artist

This is a 21 x 29 inch unframed Sheva Ausubel oil painting, signed by her, and dated 1930. Both the artist and her husband worked for the WPA, but this was later, after their return to the States. This painting has no title, but she and her artist-husband were living in Euope in 1930, and t are several written references to Italy on the back of the canvas. T is a bridge reference - Ponte di ???; what seems to be a directional reference - Padua to Roma; and other harder to read writing, including a possible reference to Vicenza. As t is a canal and gondola in the background, this is likely a scene in Venice. The color is unfaded, but it is in need of restoration, as t is paint chipping in several spots, most notably toward the bottom, as can be seen in the accompanying photo.
