TWO SILHOUETTES.Attributed to James Whitcomb (New Hampshire, 2nd quarter-19th century). Hollow cut portraits of a man and woman with inked shawl and collar. Stains. In gilt frames, 4.5"h. 4"w. Sold at Defina's Auction, May 23, 2010.Condition: The man has four small holes in the head and in his chest area, black back ground paper taped down at the top and the bottom; minor loss at top of the paper along with some water staining near bottom.The woman has a tear at the bottom that leads into the lower point of her dress; some water staining at the bottom; small pin point hole at the top center.We provide condition information when it is requested by a potential bidder, as a part of our dedication to excellent customer service.
