The painting is signed lower left. Condition The painting is in very fine 'gallery' condition, framed and ready to hang. Artist Information James Wright was born on 13th January 1935 in Peterborough, today he is regarded as one of the finest traditional landscape artists of his generation. Self taught, he is widely acclaimed for his romantic scenes of East Anglia and in particular his ability to capture the beauty of its wonderful sky. Many of his original works have been published as limited edition prints. His early years as an artist were spent capturing the haunting scenes of the once busy fishing villages in Norfolk, Cornwall and Sussex. Many of these sensitive images showing his appreciation of the form and structure of boats and his portrayal of the ever changing sky, having been reproduced in print.
