An original Arts & Crafts English Silver brooch with stunning green and blue enamel. Hallmarks for Chester 1902 and an example of this brooch is illustrated on page 266 in Knox Jewellery by Dr S Martin showing the model number as 1115 and the design date as 1902-1904. It is in exquisite condition and comes in a quality brooch box. A real rarity!
An Arts and Crafts silver and enamel brooch with Celtic Knot design. The design is by Archibald Knox for Liberty & Co. Condition is good with no damage to the front silver or the enamel. Back has a few scratches and flea-bite nicks to the silver. Pin has been replaced, although the hinge and clasp appear to be original.
Fully hallmarked as follows :- Maker - J. M. B. for John Millward Banks (who was registered in 1882 for Chester,Birmingham Sheffield and London) passant lion (sterling silver), Chester shield and 'B' (date-code)
