Similac Baby Formula Advertising Ashtray- 1950s

Offered is a very unusual advertising item from Similac, the premier makers of baby formula. It is a porcelain ashtray that shows 3 footprints marked 1 week, 1 year and 2 years. On the back is a label talking about the health benefits and disease preventing qualities of Similac and iron for a baby. As we all know, smoking was considered OK for pregnant women at this time and the dangers had not yet been realized.
