The Simplex Patent Whistling Tea Kettle Solid Copper Made in England

Offered is a well used Simplex solid copper kettle, made in England. It has it's issues, like a few dents and scuffs making it a more desirable

collectable. It has a black hardwood handle in excellent condition, brass hardware and handle bracket. The top lid has a built-in whistle

and works well. Unique to the kettle is a solid metal ball inserted into the spout to regulate the flow of water as not to "flood" a cup or mug

while pouring. The spout has two indentations on each side that trap the ball from dropping out. Internal tin plating is weak and can be re-tinned

by professionals. Should be done if it is used daily. There are evidences of aged material "cooked on" here and there, but can be removed. A good

polishing well make this item really gleam. Size is: 7-1/2" wide and 8-1/2" high. The photos show that the kettle may by positioned on top of the

fire logs. Not true, it is actually in front of a glass door, just was hung to look as if it was. Thanks for looking.
