Singer 24 Sewing Machine. Antique cast iron sewing machine. The serial number is G7519339 which would suggest it wasmade in the USA about 1919. The model number is 24-7. Sold by Singer from the 1890s to the 1930s, probably as a response to the success of the Willcox and Gibbs machine. This is a chain-stitch machine that can operate at very high speeds (up to 40 stitches per second). The thumbscrew is missing for the manual tension adjustment . Dimensions: 25 x 15cm. 23cm high. Weight of machine alone: 4.1Kg. Add packing: 1.4Kg. Total weight: 5.5Kg. Can ship to Europe or America.
