This is a Vintage Solingen made in Germany German Jagerbuchse Bayonet Mauser in a great condition with scabbard. I don't know what era this is from: WWI or Civil War Era or maybe WWII. I'm sure you know better than me. NO RESERVE! The scabbard is in great shape. Press catch works fine. Muzzle ring diameter 17.5 mm. Length with scabbard on is 27 & 5/8". The markings are: 40 B 52 ON ONE SIDE, 57501 ON THE OTHER. THE BLADE HAS: GEBR.? WEYERSBERG SOLINGEN , THE OTHER SIDE OF THE BLADE HAS A LIGHT SCRIPT HAND WRITTEN "GERMANY" SEE PHOTOS.(That does not look original to me) NEAR THE PRESS CATCH IS A CROWN symbol. THE TIP OF THE SCABBARD HAS: 40 B 357 . See photos. I didn't see any other markings. This BAYONET comes from my grandfather's toy and hobby store stock. My grandparent's had toy and hobby stores for 50 years from 1946-1996. My grandfather collected guns and knives and militaria. I think it was displayed in the store display case? This has been stored for decades in my grandfather's home. The blade is in great shape. You probably know more about this military item than me. It has not been polished or cleaned by me. I'll leave that up to you. This military item is in great condition! Thanks for bidding. Piece of history. Great condition. Good Luck! Thanks for looking! NO Reserve!
