This Civil Defence certificate was issued by the County of Southampton to Members of the Ambulance Service during World War II to show their appreciation for their service. It is not dated - whoever it was issued to had been a member of the Ambulance service since 29th May 1939. The certificate measures 12.7cm x 20.3cm. Nice addition to a local history collection. The certificate is in an acceptable condition. General edge rubs, small rubs and a little blunting at corners, creasing at top left and bottom corners, tiny crease at top right hand corner, some creasing at the bottom of the card, light creases at top edge and at left hand edge, the odd tiny bump to edges, some light marks here and there, tiny dent close to top edge, a few tiny marks to reverse, overall still a decent item for a collection.
