These is a very nice hand forged Spanish Colonial SINGLE Spur. 2 5/8" rowel. c.1750. Missing 2 rowel point. It was discovered, dug up (on private land) by Dee Breckheiser sometime within the past 10-30 years. I would guess it was found along thebanks of the Rio Grande. Dee Breckheiser died over a year ago from Lou Gehrig's disease. For 40 years Dee was an avid metal detecting enthusiast, historian and archeologist. I saw him shortly before he died and saw his huge collection of artifacts he had uncovered in New Mexico and northern Texas. I have acquired many pieces from his collection. I sell all my listings WITHOUT a RESERVE. Payment is due within 9 days or I may re-list the piece! Study the pictures before bidding, and ask questions if you are unclear about anything, be sure item is what you want before purchasing, because I DO NOT take returns. We described things as best we can but we are not experts in every field. You may know more about the item then we do. You are the judge as to quality and value. I try to list several new items every few days, so keep checking my listings that include many early Cowboy, Cowgirl and Mexican pieces selling all the time. No PAYPAL!
