ST CHARLES HOTEL FOOTED BOWL c.1910 MADDOCK LAMBERTON CHINA

Here's a really neat piece of New Orleans History- a footed bowl from the famous St. Charles Hotel which used to stand on St Charles Avenue in New Orleans. There were three St. Charles Hotels, and the first two burned. This piece of china came from the third St. Charles Hotel. I have included a picture of the hotel here. The piece was made by the Maddocks Lamberton company and is marked ML China. The information I have found says this mark was used up until 1911, but the motif looks akin to a Maxfield Parish print to me. It really is a lovely piece and is in very fine original condition with no cracks or chips or other damage. It measures about 3 3/4" high and about 6 1/2" in diameter.
