You are bidding on one Stanley #10-1/2 carriage maker's rabbet plane as pictured. It is marked "No 10 1/2" behind the frog, "STANLEY PAT 7-24-88" on the lateral lever, and the blade, which is a later replacement, has the notched rectangle STANLEY logo.Condition is very good to excellent, with probably about 80% of the japanning still present and still glossy. The rear handle has some chips at the top, a crack in the middle, and a large "T" carved into the left side. T is also a "T" stamped into the right side of the body, and one deep scratch and some small dings in the bottom. Overall, much better than most planes of this vintage.This is one of a number of auctions of wood planes, mostly Stanley metallic planes, that I have listed right now.
