STANLEY #17 Brass Patent Folding Rule - Blacksmith Type

This is a 24" STANLEY - NEW BRITAIN, CONN. U.S.A. No. 17 two-fold solid brass folding rule. Plus, it is marked with 2 patent dates: July 31, 1906 and July 13, 1909. This rule is listed in the Stanley catalogs as a "Blacksmith Rule", as the brass construction would not burn when used around a hot forge. I rate this rule in GOOD CONDITION overall. T are the typical dings in the brass from use over the years. The hinge is a bit loose, but not sprung. This is a rather uncommon rule by Stanley. A nice example for you to add to your measuring tool collection!

Terms: Lucky winner pays $4.25 for Priority Mail shipping within the United States and insurance is optional. If you have any questions regarding this item, please ask me prior to bidding.
