The Stenger & Berliner Barber Supply House was in operation in the late 1800's in Seattle and Tacoma, Washington. This original stamped brass tag with silver lettering and black clad background measures 2 & 3/4 by 3/4 inches. It was typically used to advertise their barber supply house on barber shop equipment they sold such as barber chairs, back bars, shine stands, sterilizers, shaving mug racks, hat racks, display cases, etc. Both ends are pre-drilled to allow for easy affixing to their goods. The brass plate reads "Stenger & Berliner.. Distributors.. 1422 Fifth Avenue... Seattle, Wash." Good luck on this west coast barber shop relic and check out other barber shop related items I have listed on Ebay. Check out my other items !
