I offer a very early ruby stained flint glass creamer in a pattern Alice Metz called STEPPED FLUTE and pegged the date of manufacture in the 1840s. The applied handle has a great curlicue at its bottom terminus and has been hand applied as one would expect from a piece of this age and pedigree. I think this might be the earliest piece of pattern glass in ruby stain I 've ever handled. T is only minimal wear to the satining and its in a deep, deep blood red color; very rich looking indeed. Notice the outstanding rayed hexagonal base. The creamer stands nearly 6" tall and is 4 3/8" wide. THANKS FOR LOOKING. INTERNATIONAL BIDDERS : Insurance is required.
