STREET DIRECTORY of PRINCIPAL CITIES of U.S./POST OFFICE, LETTERS/BIG RARE 1908 STREET DIRECTORY OF THE PRINCIPAL CITIES OF THE UNITED STATES EMBRACING LETTER-CARRIER OFFICES ESTABLISHED TO APRIL 30, 1908. REVISED IN THE DIVISION OF DEAD LETTERS UNDER THE DIRECTION OF P. V. DE GRAW, FOURTH ASSISTANT POSTMASTER-GENERAL. Washington, D.C.: Order of Postmaster-General, 1908. Fifth Edition. Very Scarce. A solid larver and very thick and heavy book offering an index of street names in the US, telling what cities they're located in, apparently intended to held direct incompletely addressed letters. This book is solid and complete, retaining its original covers, with a recent cloth spine. Published more than 100 years ago, this book is now long out of print and quite scarce, usually selling for $100 or more. Such a nice original edition is not likely to come up for sale again soon on ebay. From the Introduction: "This 'Directory' contains the names of the streets, avenues, courts, places, lanes, roads, wharves, etc., to which mail is delivered in the following cities, and embraces the letter-carrier offices established to April 30, 1908: Aberdeen, S.
