SUNSHINE GIBSON" CLOTHES MADE FOR AMERICAN GIRL,

I WAS LOOKING THROUGH A 1906 HARPERS BAZAR MAGAZINE MY MOM GAVE ME ABOUT 50 YEARS AGO. EVEN THEN I HAD ADMIRED THE CLOTHES AT THE TURN OF THE CENTURY.

THIS IS A "SUNSHINE GIBSON" LATE 1800'S OUTFIT MADE TO FIT AMERICAN GIRL OR ANY 18" CLOTH BODIED DOLL AND SEWN BY KAREN. IT CONSISTS OF A LOVELY PALE SUNSHINE YELLOW FABRIC WITH PETITE WHITE EMBOSSED LEAF PRINT DESIGN. IT IS IN THE TRADITIONAL STYLE OF THAT ERA IN SORT OF A N GORED 'A' LINE CUT WITH A FLOWING BACK. IT HAS WHITE BRAID TRIM AT THE HEMLINE. HER CRISP WHITE BLOUSE IS SEMI-SHEER EYELET FABRIC WITH A HIGH NECKLINE. IT HAS AN UPPER EXTREMELY PUFF SLEEVE WITH A LOWER GAUNTLET SLEEVE. SINCE THIS IS SEMI SHEER , I HAVE MADE A LINED EYELET CAMISOLE WITH A SCALLOP OVERLAY AT NECK AND FINE WHITE EMBROIDERY AT WAIST WITH A SMALL TUXEDO BOW AT NECK. HER HALF SLIP IS DONE IN THE SAME EYELET WITH THE SKIRT CUT DESIGN. I HAVE FILMED THE OUTFIT WITHOUT THE UNDERGARMENTS ON THE MODEL. THE SKIRT CAN BE WORN ALONE OR WITH THE INCLUDED "V" SHAPED TRENDY WAIST BAND OF THE DAY. I HAVE SEEN MANY PHOTOS OF THIS STYLE BAND AND THEY WEAR IT BOTH WITH PEAK DOWN OR UP. THIS IS ALSO LINED SO NOT SEAMS ON INSIDE SHOW AND HAS DECORATIVE BRAID TO MATCH SKIRT. THERE IS ALSO A MATCHING YELLOW VEST THAT HAS A WHITE SATIN LINING SO NO SEAMS SHOW INSIDE (SEE CLOSEUP OF ACCESSORIES). THIS HAS REMEMBROIDERED
