MADE IN JAPIN Description SEE THIS ACTUAL RADIO PLAYING ON YOUTUBE (link to be added)SEE THIS MODEL RADIO AT THE RADIO MUSEUM /r/fleetwood_globe_all_transistor_bib.html Here is a delightful Fleetwood Globe All Transistor radio made in Japan in the early '60's and in quite remarkable cosmetic condition and in full working order.It is easy to think of the Globe radios as a novelty item, but they should not be dismissed lightly. They certainly very much look the part and have a very good high quality feel. Additionally they are really quite good radios offering a sound quality that can be enjoyed for every day listening and radio enjoyment.The link above takes you to the Radio Museum listing for this model, although the museum has two other listings showing almost identical Fleetwood Globe radios, although the other two listings are for MW equipped versions only.This therefore must be the better equipped MW & Shortwave version, through shortwave offering a range of International listening capability fitting for a radio in the shape of a Globe!For a radio now around 50 years old, this Globe is in outstanding condition.
