Tarbosaurus bataar Dinosaur Tooth I apologize for any inconvienence to any who may have peeked at the auction before. This tooth is now properly identified as Tarbosaurus bataar. The real T rex of the east. ->D shaped root<- and zipper-like denticles means it can only come from a large Tyrannosaur. Purchased at a fossil show last year it was mixed in with raptor teeth. However, the tooth was identified by Trex-fossils as having the characteristics of a Tyrannosaur. Upon closer scrutiny this tooth can only come from the asian cousin. I asked my fossil dealer and he agreed that this one is not raptor or Carch. Lucky you! So if you have always wanted a nice sample from the cousin of Tyrannosaurus rex that lived just next door, Tyannosarus bataar, this one is a steal! A bit rough in the enamal but complete and with entire row of serrations. Beats 1500 for similar elsewhere! 1.70 Inches Long Aprox Nice Serrations on one side. 90,000,000 years old Mongolia, China
