A Great American Wrought Iron HEART SHAPED TRIVET. American, mid 18th century, circa 1740-1760, PERFECT in all aspects. The BEST form. A DOUBLE SLAT top, shaped life a modified HEART with a great drawn handle ending in a great PIGTAIL. All the feet are still intact and in near perfect condition, they also end in great formed pigtail designs. The surface is untouched, uncleaned old quality and patina. Great tool marks throughout.

This came from a very old collector who bought this and a large amount of wrought iron from Roger Bacon in the 1960's.

This is a very important piece of American Iron. Wrought Iron in this form and condition is EXTREMELY RARE AND SOUGHT AFTER

It is only 9" with the handle, the pan is only 5" across and it stands just 1 1/2" tall.

The condition is PERFECT and the surface is untouched. The form is the best and t are NO repairs or restorations.
