This is a must have set for the American History Buff! The Franklin Mint has produced a 50 Pewter Medal set depicting Colonial America. The Medals have high relief obverses showing important events like Founding of Jamestown-1607, The First Thanksgiving-1621, The First Salem Witchcraft Trials, George Washington assumes command-1775, The Declaration of Independence and 45 additional historic events make up this set!

Each Pewter Medal is 2 inches in diameter, 1/4inch thick, and weighs 2 1/2 ounces. The Pewter is in mint condition/new and struck in high relief. The set comes in a bound Brown Colonial Book of five pages containing 10 medals per page. Each medal has the event depicted in the obverse and a one or two line explanation on the reverse. The pages and over all book are made of heavy material suitable for containing medals of this weight. The presentation is nothing short of stunning.

Included with the set is a complete booklet issued by The Franklin Mint describing the medals and containing a Certificate of Authenticity signed and dated by the Franklin Mint Executive responsible for the 1976 series.
