Up for sale comes my vintage Tiny Thumbelia doll and all of the clothes I have for her. I received this doll around the time when I was just about leaving doll playing behind so she has been stored in a closet for many years. My children played with her some which probably explains the hair loss. This doll was given to me as a gift as were the original Thumbelina clothes in this auction. The doll needs some hair work - especially plugs in front. The slip is original with original snap and yellowed from age. The blue dress which the doll came in still has a hint of blue, but lace is not bright and there are very tiny pin holes starting to emerge in the dress. The Thumbelina ribbon is missing from the dress. The striped flannel sleeper is in need of some hand sewing to fix. The fabric has pulled apart up on the neckline which can be seen in the third picture. I believe that is where that pesty wire comes out of the doll's neck as it did on all Tiny Thumbelina dolls. The only piece missing on the striped outfit is the little tiny felt dog that was glued on the front of the chest - it fell off right away and sadly, was lost along the way. The one ankle of the striped outfit needs new ankle elastic put in. The white bows at the feet and snap are original on the striped sleeper.
