Tizio Lamps are a modern classic and included in the
permanent 20th Century Design Collections
New York City’s Museum of Modern Art and Metropolitan Museum of Art.

Two counter-weights enable the positioning and direction of the head with bulb to be adjusted to almost any height giving direct and indirect lighting to the reader.

The shade can also be turned to send light to the ceiling and moving the shade is easy.
Other features of the lamp include the absence of wires
with the two parallel arms are used to conduct electricity to the bulb
The transformer—the switch is on the base--has two settings low and high.
