Mottahedeh is known worldwide for high-end museum quality reproductions. The Tobacco Leaf pattern is one of the most prized and expensive patterns made by Mottahedeh. The pattern is based on a Chinese Export pattern developed circa 1780's, probably for the Portuguese and Brazilian markets. Tobacco Leaf requires dozens of separate firings and is extremely difficult and time consuming to produce.This tea pot holds about 5 cups and measures about 6 1/2 inches tall w/lid and about 10 inches from spout to handle (standard size).
