Tasting notes from Master of Malt :- Rich and Biscuity, big and crunchy. A mouthfilling, malty dram from the Highland distillery, Tomatin

Tasting notes from Jim Murray's Whisky Bible 2009:

Nose: 23.5/25 no shortage of oak, but all entirely at home with the rich, biscuity barley; a wisp of citrus lightens it slightly
Taste: 23/25 clean, highly intense malt with the most beautiful build in intensity and sweetness;
Finish: 24/25 goes into malty overdrive despite the drier oaks;
Balance: 23.5/25 in this form it out-Cardhus Cardhu in the stunningly clean, ultra-rich malty stakes! Almost stereotypical Speyside at its most magnificent.
Score: 94
